Come behind-the-scenes into the heart of Waverley Mills as we take you through the journey of our Crafting a Space collection. Experience the process from the design phase through to production and photography, where intentionality is at the forefront of each decision. Discover the inspiration, artisanship, and sustainable elegance woven into every thread of this collection.
In creating the Crafting a Space collection, collaboration was the common thread. A diverse team of designers, our master artisans, photographer and videographer, and a skilled creative director, worked together seamlessly. Leading the design effort were BernabeiFreeman, the design duo whose vision brought each thread to life. This collaboration demonstrates the transformative impact of shared creativity, reflecting a harmonious blend of talents, working together to craft a collection that embodies intention and timeless style.
At the core of Crafting a Space lies the idea of intentionality. It is an invitation to embrace living with purpose and elevating the ordinary. Much like the deliberate approach to weaving each throw, this collection encourages us to make deliberate choices to surround ourselves with elements that bring joy, comfort, and a sense of serenity. We believe that a well-crafted space is a sanctuary for relaxation, where each throw becomes a carefully curated piece designed to envelop you in comfort.
Once the collection designs are finalised, each throw begins its journey through our 150-year-old factory. As a throw makes its way through the hands of our master artisans, there is a steadfast dedication to quality and comfort, ensuring each throw will be there to comfort you for a lifetime. Great care is taken to spin, dye, wind, warp, weave, and finish, and every throw is subject to the watchful eye of consumer finishing, ensuring a quality finish.
In photography, our team take the collection concepts further tapping into an emerging hybridisation of style, where city meets country and modern meet vintage. Shot on location, the set makes use of hand-crafted furniture by Glen Rundell and ceramics by Rina Bernabei, and mixes them with modern elements, elevating the collection and reminding us that old favourites can co-exist with new ones.
