Introducing
A year of colour, woven together
Every year at Waverley Mills, a wall of yarn tells a story. With every dye batch, we prepare a little extra yarn, just in case.
As the season unfolds, those cones gather in our warp room, creating a record of the colours and designs we've woven throughout the year.
For Last Yarn, that wall of colour became our starting point.
Made from what was already here
Our designers worked with the yarn available, exploring unexpected colour combinations and finding new possibilities within the palette.
The result is Last Yarn: a limited-edition 22-micron wool throw blanket, woven here in Launceston.
Every fibre has value
At Waverley Mills, we look for ways to make good use of the materials already in our mill.
Last Yarn puts that belief into practice. By designing with yarn already dyed and ready to weave, we're making full use of what we have while creating something entirely new.

The yarn sets the palette. Our designers find the possibilities.
Last Yarn brings together colours originally dyed for designs throughout the year, creating unexpected combinations shaped by what's available.
FAQ
How soft is your merino wool?
The industry standard is to measure wool by microns. The lower the micron count, the finer, and softer, the wool. We use 18-micron merino wool for our super soft throws, making them buttery soft to the touch and the perfect addition to any home decor.
Will wool pill?
Pilling is a natural part of the lifecycle of wool. Abrasion and friction are the most likely causes of pilling, but may be unavoidable over the life cycle of your natural fibre product.
The good news is that pilling is easily remedied. Simply remove the pills carefully, by hand or with a comb, for a good as new appearance.
Where are your products made?
