WHAT DOES ALPACA FEEL LIKE?
Alpaca fibre comes from Huacaya alpacas which have a fleece similar to sheep’s wool. When spun into fibre, Huacaya alpaca fleece is wonderfully soft, smooth and silk-like.
Due to the nature of our products there may be some slight variation in sizing. While we have done our best to photograph the colour accurately, colours may vary between monitors.

We pack every order in a calico storage bag to protect your piece in transit and keep it looking great for years to come.
If your order includes several items, they'll arrive together in one bag. Ordering as a gift? Please note in the 'Is this a Gift?' area on the cart page, and we'll pack gifts separately.
From time to time, your delicate product may need refreshing. We suggest airing outside, rather than washing. A steamy bathroom or a frosty night will also invigorate and refresh fibres.
For any spills or mishaps, we recommend spot cleaning. You can find more details here.
You may choose to dry clean and if so, we recommend discussing the care instructions with your chosen drycleaner before leaving your product.
We do not recommend machine washing your product, even if your machine has a delicate or hand wash cycle.

Is alpaca warmer than wool?
While warmth is subjective, alpaca is often considered to be warmer than wool and a good alternative for those who find wool itchy or irritating.
Where are your products made?
We make everything right here at our mill in Launceston, Tasmania. From weaving, right through to cutting and finishing, our products don’t leave the mill until they’re on their way to you.
